Short presentation of the Romanian Au-Pair Association
|
The Romanian Au Pair Association has been founded in October 1996. In Mai 1997 the company obtained the accreditation of the Department of Labour for placing Romanian stuff abroad. We activate in the field of education, culture and environment protection. The main service we are offering to you is The Au Pair Program. We have been running The Au Pair Program since Mai 1997, at the beginning in co-operation with Youth Organizations and private agencies (specialized in selecting the personnel) for recruiting the aspirants to the Au Pair System. We have built our strategies in the purpose of selecting the Au Pair aspirants that are able to integrate well in their host families. That's because we know how important is for the host families and the Au Pairs to live in harmony. Many Romanian young people would like to spend different periods of time as Au Pairs in foreign countries but only 50 % successfully pass the psychological evaluation and the language tests (English, French, German or Italian). We also organize intensive German courses for our Au Pair aspirants, which want to apply for Germany. These courses are specially adapted to the Au Pair Program's needs.

At the present time we make the selection of the Au Pairs ourselves. Each future Au Pair has to sustain a very serious (written and spoken) interview, language tests and every reference is checked - and even if the Au Pair pass the examination we work many hours with her/him until we consider is prepared to became a good Au Pair. The future Au Pair has to sustain also a very serious interview to the embassy of the country where she/he will work (language examination and document's check). This structure guaranties high quality Au Pairs and makes the youth from Romania to be preferred and searched by the host families all over the world. From the total amount of 1000 placements - 650 were made in Germany, 200 in the UK, 100 in France, 10 in the USA (unfortunately we had to quit this program), 25 in Belgium (also closed because of the visa difficulties) and 15 in Holland. Many of our girls/boys have started in Germany and are now to the third or even fourth contract.
